How To Find A Book
When planning a visit to the Alden library here at Athens, there are a few easy steps you can follow when you are planning on checking out a book. The easiest way to find the book you are looking for is to first find it in the online catalogue, then go upstairs to find the book. To do this, you should first search for your book in the search bar on the online catalogue. When searching, it is important to be specific and break up multiple terms with the word "and". This will help you narrow down your search process. Once you find your book, click on the link and write down the call number, or you can send it to yourself in a text. Also, don't forget to notice what floor your book is on. If you want to find more items with the same topic, click on your topics title for more results. Once you are ready to go upstair and get your book, make sure you pay attention to the signs when coming off of the elevator. Find the range that your book is located in and look at the book's call numbers to find your book. You may also find other books in your optic that you see in this same range. Once you are ready, bring your books to the 4th or 2nd floor to the front desk. Here is where you can check the books out or ask questions. Lastly, don't forget to bring your student ID with you when checking out books.
